This long cashmere cardigan is light enough for spring evenings and easy to layer in winter. The smooth jersey knit drapes softly, and the open front makes it easy to throw on. Our cashmere comes from Alashan in Inner Mongolia and is held to 15.7 microns or finer. Wear it over a tank top and wide-leg trousers, or over a simple dress. It also packs well for travel. Black, grey and oatmeal are easy neutrals, and plum adds a little color.

How we measure. Every measurement is taken with the garment laid flat and unstretched. Chest: straight across, 1" below the armholes, then doubled. Length: from the top of the shoulder next to the collar, straight down to the hem. Sleeve: from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. Shoulder: straight across the back, from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
Knitwear is measured by hand, so allow up to ½" either way. To compare, lay a piece that fits you well flat and measure it the same way.
Care
Hand wash cold with a gentle wool or cashmere wash. Press the water out without wringing, roll the cardigan in a towel, and dry it flat. Dry cleaning works too. Store it folded, not on a hanger. Read the full cashmere care guide.

FAQ
Will it itch?
Itch comes from coarse fibers pressing on the skin. At 15.7 microns or finer there are far fewer of them, so most people wear it straight on skin. Very sensitive skin may still notice it at the neck, and a thin layer underneath solves that.
Will it pill?
All natural fibers pill a little where they rub. Long 34 to 36 mm fibers have fewer loose ends, so pilling stays light and settles after the first few wears. A cashmere comb removes it in a minute.
How do I choose my size?
It is true to size. If you're between sizes or want room to layer, size up.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash cold with a gentle wool or cashmere wash, press out the water, and dry the cardigan flat. Dry cleaning works too. Don't hang it wet, and don't put it in the dryer.
Is it warm enough for winter?
It is a lightweight knit, best as a layer. In winter, wear it over a sweater or under a coat.
How do I wear a long cardigan?
